Jinger Duggar Incorporated Sister Jessa Into Her Gender Reveal for Third Child
Jinger Duggar recently opened up about the sweet way she brought her older sister Jessa into the mix while learning the sex of her third child.
The Counting On alum, who shares two daughters with her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, shared the story during a recent interview with People. The couple revealed earlier this month that they are expecting their third child together.

Jinger, who is the sixth child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, told the magazine that she took a blood test to learn her baby’s gender but didn’t want the results sent directly to her own email. Instead, she wanted the opportunity to find out at the exact same time as her husband.
Once the results were ready, Jessa, 31, received them on behalf of her younger sister. “So then, she sent us a package with a little outfit that told us the gender,” Jinger, 30, said, adding that the gesture was “so, so sweet.”
The reality TV star also had a fun way of informing her family members about her pregnancy. As she revealed in an Oct. 16 Instagram post, she wrapped a pregnancy test for Jeremy to open on his birthday, a development that shocked him when he opened the wrapped box and discovered what was inside.
Jinger later surprised her mom and sisters with the news during a bachelorette celebration for her older sister Jana, who married Stephen Wissmann back in August. As the group gathered inside a hot tub one evening, Jinger was suddenly reminded that medical professionals generally urge pregnant women to practice caution when it comes to the amount of time they spend sitting in hot tubs or saunas. After consulting with her husband, Jinger told People that she decided to tell her family her exciting news that evening.
Jinger recorded her revelation on video and posted it on Instagram on Oct. 18. In the clip, she could be heard saying, “I don’t know if I should get in. I don’t think I’m supposed to get in if I have a baby in my tummy.” Her announcement was met with cries of surprise and excitement as her sisters offered their congratulations.
