Pedro Jimeno’s Biggest Mistake? Divorce from Chantel Everett Leaves Him Filled with Regret
Pedro Jimeno’s Biggest Mistake? Divorce from Chantel Everett Leaves Him Filled with Regret
Pedro Jimeno and Chantel Everett got divorced before the final season of The Family Chantel, but the heartbreaker’s reputation is unlikely to ever recover. Chantel and Pedro’s story began on 90 Day Fiancé season 4 when the American woman traveled to the Dominican Republic on vacation. The pair traveled back to the United States, where they committed to getting married within 90 days. Chantel’s family, especially her mother, Karen Everett, always had reservations about their relationship. After the fallout from The Family Chantel season 5, it appears she was right to be worried.
Pedro never truly loved Chantel. He cared more about sending money to his mother and sister, Lidia Morel and Nicole Jimeno, back in the Dominican Republic. Additionally, he was only worried about Chantel’s earning potential, especially when she initially failed her nursing exam. Pedro focused so much on his real estate career that he completely neglected his marriage. However, divorcing Chantel is the worst mistake he’s ever made. His reputation will never recover.
Chantel Truly Loved Pedro
She Wanted To Make Their Marriage Work
Chantel truly loved Pedro, and he gave her nothing. Throughout their relationship, Chantel consistently demonstrated her commitment to Pedro, always trying to better their communication and familial relationships. However, Pedro proved he didn’t care about Chantel when he belittled her for failing her nursing exam, prioritized his family’s opinions over Chantel’s, and refused to balance his real estate career with their marriage. While Chantel gave her all to Pedro, he didn’t keep up his end of the bargain. It’s no wonder their union ended in divorce.
Pedro’s Reputation Was Damaged After The Break-Up
His Reputation Won’t Ever Recover
Pedro’s reputation was already on the rocks during The Family Chantel, but opinions of him definitely took another dive after divorcing Chantel. It became obvious that Pedro had ulterior motives for marrying Chantel such as obtaining a green card and building a real estate career. After Pedro was accused of cheating on Chantel with coworkers Laura Delgado and Antonella Barrenechea, he should’ve taken a step back from his relationships with them.
Instead, Pedro complained that The Family Chantel was biased towards Chantel’s side, casting him as a manipulative figure. Pedro has denied that he just married Chantel for a green card, saying he could have left her much sooner if that was the case. Nevertheless, his reputation is unlikely to recover because of his behavior throughout their marriage.
Pedro Lost Any Sort Of Positive Fan Reception After The Divorce
He’ll Always Be A Heartbreaker
Pedro lost any semblance of positive fan reception after leaving Chantel. He was already a franchise villain, but divorcing Chantel was the nail in the coffin. However, given his behavior towards Chantel, it’s probably for the best that they parted ways. Chantel deserves to find someone who actually loves and appreciates her, but Pedro is a selfish user. The heartbreaker will always use women to uplift himself, and Chantel should find someone who doesn’t need her. Pedro will always be a villain after The Family Chantel, and it’s all his fault.
